About the Artist
Teigan Maynard is a Louisiana-based visual artist, instructor, and creative entrepreneur whose work celebrates emotion, resilience, imagination, and the vibrant culture of New Orleans. Working primarily in acrylics, she creates expressive paintings inspired by nature, fantasy, folklore, and the beauty found in everyday life. Her artwork invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover hope, healing, and wonder through color and storytelling.
Beyond the canvas, Teigan brings creativity into homes and communities through custom-painted mailboxes handcrafted Second Line umbrellas, paint parties, and interactive arts and crafts workshops. Her passion is creating memorable experiences while encouraging others to embrace their own creativity.
A lifelong artist, Teigan Maynard is a proud alumna of YaYa (Young Aspirations/Young Artist) where she further developed her artistic voice and creative foundation. She later studied Fine Arts education at Delgado Community College, Nunez Community College, and became a certified Grumbacher Art Instructor. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous exhibitions, festivals, mural projects, and community art initiatives, including Disney’s World celebration, the Raw Artists New Orleans Exhibition, the Los Islenos Festival, Mardi Gras House floats, and art programs serving individuals with disabilities.
Much of Teigan’s artistic voice has been shaped by personal experiences. Living with seizures, migraines, anxiety, and depression has taught her the importance of perseverance and self-expression. Through art, she transforms life’s challenges into messages of strength, beauty, and hope. Every brushstroke reflects her belief that creativity has the power to heal, inspire, and connect people from all walks of life.
Teigan is also proud to create alongside her family, supporting her daughter’s artistic journey while building a creative business that celebrates imagination, craftmanship, and community. Together, they continue to share original artwork, handcrafted creations, and artistic experiences that bring joy to collectors. families, and art lovers alike.
Today, through MaynardArtist.Art, Teigan continues to create original paintings, fine art prints, custom commissions, and unique handcrafted pieces while offering creative services designed to inspire others to explore the transformative power of art.
